I'm trying to overclock my Intel E6550 to 3-3.2Ghz, I'm a complete newbie at overclocking so not after pushing it to the extremes, just want to make a few simple tweaks to get more out of it but not as much risk as going for its full potential.

On my CPU I've got a Thermaltake Ultra-120 to keep it cool and a Corsair HX 520w to run it. My RAM is 2x1GB Geil Ultra PC6400, I'm not interesting in pushing that aswell, just want to make sure that has the correct settings if it needs changing in order to support my CPU.

So far I've tried putting the FSB from 333Mhz to 400Mhz and the core ratio from auto to manual 7, don't think its possible to go higher with my CPU. I set my Memory FSB from Auto to DDR2-800Mhz then saved and rebooted.

From startup I opened CPU-Z, CoreTemp and LinX. Ran the LinX test at 512 50 times and this is the outcome:
